Daja123 Says: A delightful sights are these tulips, different sorts of them, amazing colours, shaped in rings, oblongs, quadratic shape, even in figure of peacock , like tis one on my earlier picture.
Daja123 Says: I usually visit Volcji Potok Arboretum several times a year. Every season of the year is interesting. People come here for walks in early spring, or in hot summer and in autumn and they come in winter...
Daja123 Says: Two well known Slovenian garden architects created an amenity attractive park for professional and general public. The shrubs, trees and perennials are thoughtfully grouped.
Daja123 Says: Leo Souvan looked after the park till the end of 1949, when he died. In 1951 Slovenian government declared the park a place of national heritage. For some following years it was entrusted to the University of Ljubljana.Now, it is independent .
Daja123 Says: The first architect of today's arboretum was Leo Souvan. He invested a lot of attention, love, time and money in development and maintenance of the park.
Daja123 Says: The park spreads on 80 hectars ground, which is occupied by about 2.500 trees and shrubs. The plant collection has been thoughfully designed as a landscape park.
