Do NOT use Europcar

Do NOT use Europcar, Algeciras

jodijjack Says:  There is no good reason to come to this dirty ditch of a port town. There are two ways to get from Tangiers, Morocco to Spain. You can take the 35 minute Ferry to a cute sleepy seaside village, such as Tarifa, or you can take a 2.5 hour "ferry" to the dirty thieving ditch of...

Sharpening the knifes.

This was an unusual sight for me,as we approched the market we saw two men with their motorbikes and the engines running, connected to the engines were big round steels spinning really fast, on closer inspection we saw that they did this to sharpen knifes and scissors for the local people for a small charge,if you click on the picture you can see them in the background.

Town center.

There were no tourist traps here, actually we didn't see many tourists at all, being a typical Spanish town there was no need for tourist traps. The only traps are from the holiday companys that sell you the holidays, the reps gave us a sheet of paper with all the excursions to go on and my advice is go on your own its alot more cheaper and you will have alot more time in the places you choose.

Just because its Spain don't assume it is warm at the beach! I asked the desk person how to get to the nearest beach...he told me about the closest one to the hotel but said I would need to take a cab! Not only was the distance misleading...but it was freezing!

Favorite thing: Hi I hope I dont reply too late and you are already gone.
YOu'd better take the bus that might be just at the terminal. If you have a rented car go and drive there it is very easy to reach as you will find lots of signs to Tarifa.
I don't suggest you to take a taxi.
I hope this helps a bit
