  • Be careful not to get swept away with the romance of it all here. A harmless wander into one of the many Antequera Estate Agents could see you schmoozed into, there and then putting a small deposit on a dream off-plan house. 'Not me', I hear you say - 'who'd be so naive'. Many would, could and are. This is not a situation for spontaneity. Check out www.spanishpropertyinsights.com for great advice when buying in Spain.

    Torcal is one of the nature´s treasures in Antequera (see my tip in Things to do), but it can be cold in winter and very hot in summer and, nowadays, you don´t have any place up there to buy warm clother nor water, caps... and, by this days, you don´t have a building to stay because is being remodelated right now.

    If you are planning to visit Torcal between December and February carry warm clothes with you (in dec and jan it can be snow covered) and if you are plannig to visit between july - august, carry with you: WATER, cap and, if you have light skin, protection cream for the sun (somedays in Torcal you can reach 45 C degrees (i think it´s about 113 Farenheits) in the midday.
    Anyway... Torcal is SO Beautiful :)))

    No Alternative... IF YOU COME TO ANTEQUERA... YOU HAVE TO VISIT 'EL TORCAL'
