The caves here are great. Make sure you get there early so you can get in.
There is alot of walking in the caves so if anyone with you does not want to walk that much there are so many cafes just outside the enterance where thay can sit for an hour while you do the tour.
The temprature in the caves is the same all year round. If you go durring the summer this makes for a nice break from the sun and heat.
We spent a day on a very lazy walk from the town. We found a local walk book which mentioned a circular walk along old cattle roads, literally going more or less due south from the town. This was true cattle ranching country, with all the men we saw on horse back. We later saw them in the bars of Aracena with their chaps and leg protectors. Round here the cattle are bred for the bull fights and the estates are owned by the big spirit companies.
The ruins of this castle sit on a hill overlooking the town. Unfortunately I did not have time to hike up the hill and had to settle for a shot from below.
