In the south of the Iberian Peninsula the Guadiana River divides Spain and Portugal. There are two possibilities to cross borders. One is by car, the other one by ferries which frequently run between Ayamonte and Vila Real de Sto. Antonio (Portugal).

When we was here in 1992 the bridge over the Guadiana River was opened a few weeks ago and we could easily go to Ayamonte by car.
