 | Baños de la Encina Restaurants | Tips 1 - 1 of 1 | | Popular Restaurants | Other Restaurants Tips | All Tips (1) We wanted a simple lunch in Banos, and thought we would stop at a bar and grab a snack. Could we find anywhere - no chance. But there was the Hotel, perched on ridge beside the road to the new town, and, yes, they did do food. And what's more, the terrace looked out across to the castle and church, with a backdrop of a sea of olive trees. Or as their website says "una terraza cubierta en la que podrá disfrutar de una excepcional vista del Castillo de Bury Al-Hamma y la Iglesia de San Mateo enmarcados en un mar de Olivos." (See, even I can translate that with my almost non-existent Spanish !) So we had more than a snack, and stayed longer than we attended. Liz had a Tuna salad, and I had my favourite - pasta ! It wasn't at all expensive - can't remember how much we paid, just a few euros, but was very good value. The hotel only has 19 bedrooms, but has a number of dining and banqueting rooms, and might be worth investigating as a place to stay.
