Being close to TARIFA, this part of the coast is particularily windy. Is not windy all the time, but when the "Levante" wind blows, you better do some windsurfing... or go on a daytrip to a nearby village in the "Sierra de los Pueblos Blancos" (White villages mountains).
Is really annoying to stay at the beach and get hit by the sand all the time...

Climbing up the dune may take you 10-15 minutes. The sand is really hot up there, so U better take some beach sandals just in case... or climb it after sunset!

If you plan to climb up the dune, put some sun protection first and wear a hat or so, is really hot up there and there is no shade around!

Bolonia is a tiny location (just a few houses indeed) in the south west coast of Spain, facing the Atlantic Ocean, not far from Gibraltar. As many of the neighbour beaches, this one is a white sand...
Where else you can go to the beach (an incredible sandy one with a massive dune), visit some roman ruins and have some fish sitting on a Chiringuito? Ok there are more places around the Mediterraneo...
This Roman city of Baelo Claudia was on the Atlanitic Ocean, between Gibraltar and Cadiz. It has been excavated, and there are beautiful columns Roman Baths and a amphitheatre.
