Basically there in an El Hoyo in El Puerto de Santa Maria and and one in the centre of Cadiz. The same owners own bar Crivi which is reviewed in a previous tip.
El Hoyo in Cadiz centre is a bar come night spot depending on the night and the time. They play good music like bar Crivi which means it is mostly very famous English music from the 60's to the present and some slightly better Spanish music to the teeny boppers Spanish pop. This differs to El Hoyo in El Puerto that plays more modern/funky music.
It is decorated by black and white photos of famous singers from Elvis to Annie Lenox, Blondie and U2. There are also some interesting models of planes and helicopters hanging from the ceiling and some other interesting objects.
There is also a large screen TV where they show the football (Spanish football that is).
Dress Code: Although this can be a dance venue too; anything goes here.

In summer this long pier at the left far side of the harbour turns into a giant open air nightlife area.

Having most of the beaches west-oriented, in Cadiz you can enjoy some marvellous sunsets, from all over the coastline.
My favourites are in La Caleta Beach, with the little boats, the rocks and the castle in the background.

In the modern part of the city, between the Melia Caleta Hotel and the Football stadium there is a nice seaside walk by the beach with many terraces, discos, bars and night clubs.
If you are looking for nightlife in the SUMMER, come here! In winter some places are open, but nightlife activity concentrates in the old town rather than here...

This great theatre hosts concerts, ballet and plays among some other things. However, during the carnival, the contest takes place here. That contest lasts, sometimes, until dawn.
