Take a walk by the cliffs
  • Tip Rating:
  • A walk by the cliffs that go from Fuente del Gallo beach to Cala del Aceite, in the north part, outside the village, is a nice activity around sunset, when the heat is not so hard. Sunsets are great from there...

To get there, drive towards Fuente del Gallo (south part) or Cala del Aceite (north part) and walk up.

    Cala del Aceite beach
  • Tip Rating:
  • Probably the smallest and the best hidden beach in Conil.
This small beach is located amongst the cliffs that you can find in the north coast of Conil, near the harbour.
To reach it by car, exit the village north towards the cemetery, turn left at the following crossroad following always the sign Camping Cala del Aceite and go on till the end of the road.

This beach is not so crowded in summer, the waters are still but the bottom of the beach is not as sandy as in the main beach, there are some stones and rocks.

    Vejer de la Frontera
  • Tip Rating:
  • I love to stop at VEJER DE LA FRONTERA, where i have enjoyed good days years ago. It is sited on the top of a mountain, and apart of an old castle and incredible views it has the spirit of a white village.

From Conil drive to Barbate through the coast, pass Trafalgar and Caños de Meca and after Barbate follow to Zahara. From Barbate go up to Vejer

    Hidden patios
  • Tip Rating:
  • There are hundreds of beautiful hidden patios inside the houses, all painted in white and full of plants and flowers.
Don't be shy, go in and explore, local people are kind and, as long as you don't bother, you will surely be welcome to come and look...

    Canos de Meca
  • Tip Rating:
  • Although Conil definitely has the most beautiful beach in the area, it`s not easy to swim, because of the wind and the waves. so try out the beach in canos the meca too; it`s a nice small town, not overcrowded. The beach is not as beautiful as in Conil, but there is not much wind or waves, so you can swim the whole day there.
the atmosphere is very relaxed, there are small wooden huts, where you can drink a tinto de verano and listen to cool spanish music.

    Caños de Meca
A tourist coast resort in between Barbate and Trafalgar, great for surffers and other water sports (well as most of the area) and incredible beaches.

Great for excursions on bike or hiking due to the proximity to the natural parks.

In between Conil and Barbate through the coast Road
