You can find the Meryan Leather Shop on Calleja de las Flores(Street of the Flowers), just look for the tile sign out front in several languages, including HEBREW which surprised me ^O^
They have a lot of different things for every taste.

What to buy: You can find postcards, chairs, pictures, key rings, wallets, purses, plates, wall ornaments, place mats, bracelets and many other things, even a globe, ALL IN LEATHER.

What to pay: We purchased a leather bracelet for our daughter (after photographing the selection they have in the store and then sending it by phone to our daughter for her "approval") at a cost of about 10 Euro. The prices range from a single Euro to thousands, depends on your taste and pocketbook.

Colourful Flamingo dresses

Cordoba has so many wonderful shops within walking distance of the Mezquita. Carmen and I had fun popping in and out of some of the jewellery shops. The jewellery available in Cordoba are just awesome - silver and gold earrings, necklaces, rings and bracelets, with many using various brightly-coloured precious stones.
Also available are quality leather goods - belts, hats, handbags, coats and jackets. Local made pottery and ceramics. Your usual souvenir shops with t-shirts, knick-knacks, "Cordoba" books and post-cards. I love the children's flamingo dresses and the colourful Aprons.

Plaza de las Tendillas, Cordoba, Spain

For regular shopping (clothes, shoes, accessories), head north from La Mezquita to Plaza de las Tendillas. This will take you out of the old town section of Cordoba and into the main commercial area of the city center. We went up here in the 104 degree F heat to look for shoes for my daughter, but none of them suited her.

When I saw this fountain in the middle of Plaza de las Tendillas, I wanted to just lay down on it and let the water run over me. I would've, too, if anyone else had been doing it, but no one was, so it was probably one of those prohibited or unseemly activities.

Variety: Shopping in the Juderia

Juderia, Cordoba, CA

The Juderia has a lot of shopping. You can find anything from tacky souvenirs to high quality local crafts. Do your shopping before lunch when most shops are open. The place shuts down in the afternoon heat.

joyeria

Jewelry in Córdoba is very popular, there are lots of shops where you can find whatever you´re finding. I saw this shop the first day i arrived to Córdoba and i decided to entry last day and i bought a fantastic pair of silver earings

Meryan: Quality Leather Goods

Back patio entrance off Calle Encarnacion

Meryan has all things leather. And not just any leather, but Cordoban leather. Called cuero repujado, or embossed leather, many of the items are also handpainted and you can watch workers in the midst of this process as they gossip about every day topics.

The city has quite a tradition in making leather goods and Meryan sells quite a bit of things that are made here plus some other things that are brought in from other parts of Spain. Everything appears to be of good quality. Take you pick from frames, notebooks, decorative boxes, wall hangings, photo albums, and even furniture.

What to buy: Decorative boxes, frames, gloves, most anything leather.

What to pay: Varies

The modern centre of Cordoba has a wide range of shops - all that you would expect from the largest city in the area.

The heart of the shopping area is around Pza de las Tendillas, and some streets have canvas awnings to shade shoppers from the fierce sun.

If you like silver or golden jewellery, this will be paradise for you.

Lots of shops (some of them with absolutely great Moorish decoration) all over the area, to buy Majorica or different design necklaces

Just be careful of the gypsies around trying to sell you Rosemary and trying to read the future on your hands....

Intricate Silverwork

Cordoba is not normally thought of as someplace to shop. However, there are many high quality local artisans.

What to buy: Leather goods, nice metal works and particularly colorful pottery and plates. guitars
