This art museum primarily has wonderful devotional theme paintings by Andalucian-associated painters such as;Alonzo Martinez("Head of Christ"Late Gothic Period),Pedro de Cordoba("Saint Nicholas of Bari"),Antonio Palomino("Birth of Saint Peter Nolasco"),Juan Penalosa y Sandoval("Saint Thomas Aquinas"),Antonio Del Castillo Saavedra("Saint Peter").and Juan valdez Leal, among others.I also appreciated its fine 19th and Early 20th Century paintings, especially their paintings by Julio Romero de Torres("Bendicion Sanchez"),Rafael Romero de Torres("Columbus Leaving La Mezquita"),and Francois Antoine Bossuet("View of Cordoba".I also liked their temporary Japanese Watercolor exhibit which depicts how Julio Romero de Torres was influenced by the Japanese painters(Kaburati Kiyo's"Moon"and Obata Gekoko for example). There was also nice group of sculpture by Mateo Innuria("Gypsy Lady").I spent three and a half hours enjoying myself at this art museum.a week and a half ago.
