Difficult to imagine that just in the middle of a street in the center of the town, you can find this good preserved columns... just to ask yourself: am I in Cordoba or in Athens?
This is another "altar" you find just in one of the walls of the Mosque... You can even see the tower behind.
You will maybe be used to see religious statues and paintings in the churchs... but you will also find them in the streets in Cordoba. Look at this one near the Plaza del Potro
Arabic baths. You can have a bath and relax here while you think you are some centuries ago. Besides the nostalgic thoughts, it is just a kind of swimming pool.
One of the sides of the Mosque, it has some beautiful doors (mosque side doors). Pay attention to this apparently plain wall… and you will find beautiful things like the one in the picture…
The entrance fee to Mezquita could be a but expensive to some people, but the garden is absolutely free! It's a nice place for some rest.
Architecturally speaking, a must see for all! The Mosque - and Cathedral of Cordoba is a truly unique combination of two very different styles.
Some parts of Cordoba, like the Old Town, are best discovered on foot. You'd be amazed at the things that would catch your attention along the way...in this town filled with old world charms!
