About a week and a half ago,I visited this art museum dedicated to the delightful paintings of very creative Spanish Master,Julio Romero de Torres.Julio Romero de Torres painted wonderful portraits of Spanish ladies with awesome Spanish Eyes in a special manner.I especially was enamored with his"Diana the Huntress",Amalia",and "Offering To The Art of Bullfighting".At this special, small art museum, things are labelled in English,as well as Spanish.
An elegant square in the north of the city, Posada del Potro, hosts two popular Cordoba museums. The first is the Museum of Fine Arts, with a small collection of pictures by local artists.
Much more interesting is the Romero de Torres Museum, across the square, which contains a collection by one of Cordoba's best loved artists. Torres is best known for his portraits of women, mostly of Andalucian and gypsy women.
Julio Romero de Torres Museum: a very beautiful manorial house, where the painter was born in 1874. A good part of his work is exhibited here. His picture deals with female erotism, even the ones with an apparently religious theme. The title of the picture that I chose for this tip is Naranjas y limones (oranges and lemons). Well, one can see the oranges, of course? and the lemons? The answer seems obvious, doesnt it? For sure, he must have painted the most beautiful women in Cordoba? or perhaps he improved them. The building itself is worth a visit. It opens from 10,00 to 14,00 and from 17,00 to 19,00 Monday-Saturday and from 9,30 to 15,30 on Sundays. Admission fee: 3 euros, but it is free on Fridays

This is a picture of a sculpture of Matador Manolete. This Matador was born in Cordoba.
I didn't had time to visit that museum.
It houses beautiful paintings reflecting Cordoba’s character, people and daily life. This painter is also famous for a typical spanish song “Julio Romero de Torres pinto a la mujer morena…”
