There are two markets in Estepona that I know of. The Wednesday market is held in the Avenida Juan Carlos, and the Sunday market is held in the Port area. In these markets you can but fruit, vegetables, clothes, shoes, etc.. Both of them are in the morning.

There are too many shoe shops to list.
If you are a shoe fan (as I am) - go into town and you will be in shoe heaven.
There are lots of clothes and shoe shops on the main pedestrian shopping street which runs parallel to the main coast road.
Shoe shops are plentiful and full fabulous Spanish made shoes at very reasonable prices.
They also stock alot of smaller sizes than UK stores.
Amapola's shoe heaven !
What to buy: Look out for the sales and get some great deals in leather goods.
Handbags are good.
Also, olive oil and cigarrettes are much cheaper.
Spanish Soberano brandy, also a good buy.
The town hosts three Markets per week, the main tourist market is held in Estepona Port on a Sunday morning, starting around 10am and finishing around 2pm.
Wednesday there is a big open-air market with clothing and other goods on the edge of the town near the motorway.
Covered Market - (Mercado de Abastos). Daily am only. Held near the castle and the Plaza del Reloj. Good for fresh fish, meat, fruit and vegetables.
Making a nice change, there are hardly any rubbishy tourist shops.
What to pay: I spent 20 Euros on the most beautifully made white leather mules with silver heels (pictured)
May have to go back to Spain to wear them ; )

It isn't so much a shop as you will be able to see from the photo but in fact a lively market. There are a few shops round there but they are mainly just souvenir ones. This market has been going on for donkey's years. It is a nice day trip out as you normally bump into people you know...or people you dont really want to see should I say!!! You see it's funny, because working in Gibraltar every day you see the same people day in day out, so when you drive away from the Rock you hope that you're driving away from those people too....but you can be sure that you'll bump into half a dozen of them when you're somewhere like this in Spain......very frustrating!
What to buy: What should you buy? Well, more to the point, what do they sell? Clothes, fake Rolex watches, fake Gucci, Armani, YSL sunglasses, local Spanish arts and crafts, Spanish pottery, music, jewellery...and things like that. I think people go there more these days to just have a walk around and a delicious lunch by the sea. I know I certainly dont need any of the above shopping items!
What to pay: Well everything is in euros now and for Spain that has really lifted the economy....Things which used to be 100pesetas before, have been made into 1 euro now. This means that theyre making about 30 cents profit on everything at that price now. Anyway, its a market, and everything has its prices on it!
