There is a small park next to the parking area. I think it's completly brand new and it worth a visit. There are a lot of kind of plants and flowers, an artificial waterfall and benches, where you can have a small rest just looking at the mountains and the Mediterranean Sea, if it's a sunny day.

Well, actually I didn't visit the castle itself, but I saw it from the city. You can see it too if you pay attention to the mountain summit. It's a 9th century Arab castle and it was destroyed during the "Battle of the Rock" (16th century) so currently there are just some ruined walls.

Walking along the little streets you can learn about the history of Frigiliana, reading the 12 mosaics, which explain the entire story.
The history of Frigiliana dates from prehistoric times, as Phoenicians, Romans and Arabs have lived there.
During the Christian reconquest, there was many battles here. The last one was the battle of the Rock of Frigiliana in 1569.
