This was one of nicest areas in Frigiliana.
This street really is very nice street ,the buildings on the left with the nice front ,and the steps going up and the nice streetlight.
I hope the young couple does not mind being in the picture , I could not find a good shot without them.
A lovely street in the village Frigiliana.
We now start our walk and we are getting more into the village , here is our fist view of one of the little streets with white houses.
No big surprise to see a Coca Cola vending machine, they are everywhere.
The tourist office is located just near the main entry to the town. Go there to get you a city map, so you can decide to visit the west or the east part of the village. The streets are made for walking ...

Views of the coast from villague
On the top of the city there are a few miradores.
I think it is where the castle was once sited, even if there are only a few remains.
There is also a nice cafeteria to stop for a coffee, and enjoy the views while sitting on the terrace.
In direction to the main square
We now get inside the village in direction to the main square.
Even if it is a tourist place and you will always cross some other tourist as you.
Still is not so known as other tourist resorts of similar situation as Mijas, that in my personal opinion, had not maintain the special style that they sued to have in other times.
More than 20 year ago was the first time I visited, I wish i had a photo of me and my friend Maria on the donkey when we were 9 years old lol
Casa del Apero
This building was built in the 17th century, after a refurbishment in the 1990s it was converted to be the tourist office. There is a small museum as well.
Frigiliana Coat of Arms
This is probably the most photographed corner of Frigiliana, with the coat of arms of Frigiliana in the background.
Ingenio Nuestra Señora del Carmen
This building was built in the 16th century as a home for Manrique de Lara. Currently it is a honey factory which apparently is the only honey factory of its kind in Europe.
The Lay of the Land
See the map at the bottom of the city to get an idea of how the city is laid out. Frigiliana is a city of hills and small streets so it's good to get oriented before you head out to explore.

One last look at a lovely street in Frigiliana
This is the last of the little streets in Frigiliana
This must be no doubt the reason for the tourist to visit Frigiliana ,it is said that Frigiliana is the prettiest village in Andalucia.
Meow Meow why is that doggie barking at us.
Well there it is the proof ,two kitty's just sitting there minding their own business.
Bad doggie ,why are you barking at us .
Haha you can't get us .
Very steep stairs in many places in Frigiliana.
As you can see here this village has some very steep stairs and streets .
I must be difficult if you are a bit older to climb this steps.
But they are probably used to it.
Found a nice storage area near this restaurant
When I went to the bathroom in this restaurant I walked by this wonderful storage
area and there were some wonderful wine making items & some barrels with wine in them I think.
little shop/ house with ceramic's around doorway
As you can see ceramics and painted glass is made right here in Frigiliana.
There are plenty little shops that sell these items .
A nice white house with a beautiful door
This is one of the many different doors they have in these houses ,all very nice and all different. Very niceeeeee.
