Wander among the streets of the old Muslim quarter, the Albayzin.
The walk among the hilly streets and narrow alleys is so interesting. The view of the Alhambra with the Sierra Nevada mountains in the background from the Mirador San Nicolas is an absolute must-see!

El Albayzin - the old quarter of Granada.
There's still a rule saying that the houses in the old quarter need to built to look like the old houses there. People put a lot of ceramics on the outside of their houses, and you can still see people drying large red peppers in order to use them during winter. The streets are very narrow, and you have to be careful and not get run over by a car.

You can also get a nice view on the Alhambra which is located on the adjoining hill.

Old Moorish part of the city, lovely narrow lanes to wander around, well in daylight anyway - wouldn't fancy it at night.

You can easily wander through this quarter and if it weren't for your fellow tourist you would feel like you had gone back 500 years in time.
