The Courtyard of the Lions is another example of Islamic Architecture. Four separate streams of water converging on the main fountain in the center of the courtyard.

This patio is, next to the patio de los Leones, also a very famous part of the palace.

The pond reflects the image of the buildings behind it.

Spend a day at the Alhambra Palace and gardens. Just so much moorish arhitecture to take in. In this pic is the Patio of the Lions.

The tiles on these walls were often arranged in geometric patterns. Learning was important even in those days!

Check out the ceiling of this throne room (Salon de Embajadores) which represents the 7 heavens of the Muslim cosmos. Built from 1334 to 1354.

The most photographed place is the Patio de los Leons (Court of the Lion), named after the fountain that appeared in the picture.
