The town of Lanjaron is dominated by it's castle, yet it is all too easy to miss, set well below the main street. You can explore the ruins, and have commanding views of the valley beyond.

Good food, & a menu del dia. Dining on the terrace with a great view, especially at night when the old castle is floodlit.
But - you must visit before they finish the new road, which will pass right by the hotel, and possibly take away much of this site's charm.
Update - August 2004 - well the new road is still not finished !!
