I didn't know it when I arrived and that was the reason why everybody knew that I was a stranger.
The Málaga people like to wait in a queue for the bus. It doesn't matter if you are only three people waiting for the bus.
I guess that is why everything in Spain takes so much time.

You should go to any of them in Malaga, Marbella or Estepona, they are great, and of course to drink ask for CARTOJAL the best sweet wine you will ever try in the hot summer umm.
All the costa del Sol has something brilliant!
In marbella is around the 10th of June and in Malaga around the second and third week of august.
In Estepona is around the 10th of July.
I hope you like it.

Yes, to tourist usually it is a huge problem, because not many people speak English. I didn't have a problem, since I love the Spanish language and have been learning it, and like in any other country people react more pleasantly when they hear you speaking their own language (or at least trying to speak).
People are VERY expressive, very dynamic and energetic, quite "talk-ative" which can be a bit tiring when you're trying to buy some food and water at 9 am and you've been partying till 4 am the night before. :-)) Oh, and Andalusia is another places where WOMEN can boost their self-esteem (lots of compliments "flying around")

Please Note it is not customary to tip Spanish bartenders every time you order drinks (although I am sure they don't mind!).
Many Spanish are insulted if you do not at least try and converse in their language. We would not like it if foreigners came to our country and barked at people in their own tongue. The same courtesy should be extended to which ever country we visit.

Although Spanish 'night life' usually starts very late and it is often common to go out around midnight, especially at weekends, it is not the case during the 'off season'. It was nearly impossible to find a restaurant open afer 12pm during the week.
In the summer and at the weekends, many bars and clubs will not open before 23:00 any time before this will be relatively quiet. Usually the night life is lively and continues until the early hours of the morning, often 6 or 7 AM, at which time you can stop for coffee and breakfast on your way home!
