Malaga Airport is 8 kilometres west of the city of Malaga and is main flight path for million people arriving on the Costa del Sol each year.

First train 07:09 then 39 and 09 minutes past the hour. Last train 23.59 journey time 12 min's...price around 3 euro
By Airport Bus : To Malaga bus and train station

By Taxi : To Malaga Centre

Malaga is the main airport serving the Costa del Sol area in Spain. It's a small airport so it's fairly quick to get in and out of the airport. There didn't appear to be much in the arrivals section of the airport, I saw one snack bar, one newspaper stand and I was able to find an ATM. There were a lot more stores in the departure section of the airport if you need to buy that one last souvenir or in my case, rolls and rolls and rolls of Love Hearts for my husband :-)

Para vuelos nacionales, Iberia es la mejor opción para viajar a Málaga. Hay vuelos desde las principales ciudades espańolas, Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao, etc. Otras compańias aereas que vuelan son aireuropa, spanair, airmadrid, vueling vuelan a Málaga. Leave a Comment

Ok. I was an enthusiast this year and travelled using INTER-rail, and everything was Ok until we reached Spain. I was so angry, that my first impression was terrible. But, it is all about having information. You CANNOT simply catch a train and continue travels. You HAVE TO HAVE a reservation. No, not just for the high-speed ones: FOR ANY. Don't belive what you might read on other web-pages, cause I DID, and I ended up travelling two days through Spain. So, make sure you make reservation about 8-5 days AHEAD and then it is OK. (ask me for details about this issue)

The best web site is Iberia www.iberia.es, you can get return tickets for 60 euros in most of the direct flights of Spain if you book online in advance ...

When leaving the airport by car, and approaching the N340, the Left hand lane takes you to Malaga, Granada, Nerja all the Eastern Costa del Sol, and the right one is for Torremolinos, Benalmadena, Fuengirola, Marbella, Estepona, Cadiz ...western Costa del Sol.
there is train Service from Málaga Airport to Málaga City and Fuengirola, every half an hour, just outside the airport.
