by Senoritasmile Do not be put off by this shops' exterior. It was founded in the 1940's and I don't think its had a refit since then! HOWEVER, in the spring/summer, they stock the greatest range of handmade espadrilles, all around the 20 euro mark. Theme: ShoesAddress: Calle San Juan 20Directions: central old town about 2 mins walk from the Avon shop.

If you like to shop you must go here. My credit card and I had some fun. The stores were great and the prices were even better. I got so many great deals. My favorite stores were Zara, Blanco, Stradivarius, Mango, Bershka, Tact-O and Pull and Bear.
EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!! (like i did)
Everything is much cheaper in spain. A pair of boots from Zara in Spain cost $45 and if you bought the same ones in the US it would cost you at least $100 Leave a Comment Theme: Department Store

With Spring well and truly here and summer just around the corner, if you're looking to update your footwear then this is the street for you. I'll just mention a few shops to get you started but then you're on your own - happy shopping :-) Antonio Parriego is right at the top of the street on the corner with the 'plaza de la Constitucion' (big square!). This is the place if you like a bit of bling on your summer shoes. Nicolas & Gody are half way down on the corner with Calle Strachan. Eclectic ranges including spanish Camper (very colourful this year), Geox, Firestone, Diesel etc........ There are plenty more also dotted around the side streets.
Espadrilles are usually a great buy because most of them are made here in Spain and the ranges are like no where else. Theme: ShoesDirections: Calle Larios runs from opposite the port entrance up to Plaza de la Constitucion.

Vibrant food market set in an attractive, turn of the century market hall. Fruit, veggies, herbs, fish, meat, 100's of olives, cold meats etc.....nice to grab a selection and head to the beach. Stalls close by 2pm. Theme: Food and DrinkAddress: Calle Atarazanas

by Senoritasmile This shop is an Aladdins cave of creative materials, paints, inks, canvasses, clay, brushes, tools etc......and some brilliant art books. Do not be mislead by the big range of cleaning products it also seems to display in its windows! Theme: ArtAddress: Calle AtarazanasDirections: 50 yards from Central Atarazanas Food Market, on opposite side of the road.

Calle Larios on a Sunday by Helga67 The main shopping area is around Calle Marques de Larios, near the cathedral and Calle Nueva. Spain biggest department store "El Corte Ingles" is located opposite the train station. The shops open between 9 and 10 am. They close for lunch at 1 or 2 pm, and open in the afternoon at 4 or 5 pm until 8 or 9:30 pm. Most large shopping centres and department stores stay open during lunchtime. Shops are closed on Sunday.
Especially clothes and shoes
less expensive than in other parts of Europe Leave a Comment Theme: Other

by Senoritasmile Seriously folks, you will be overwhelmed by the array of door and drawer accessories available here, from sleek and modern to charactful antique. If you're renovating here in Spain or looking for something to brighten up a tired chest-of-drawers back home, you'll be spoilt for choice. Theme: Home FurnishingAddress: Plaza de la Constitucion 3

A superb leisure area containing over 25 shops, 50 restaurants, bars and other attractions PLAZA MAJOR or Parque de Ocio Plaza Major, is located just outside Torremolinos on the way to Malaga, close to Malaga International Airport. The easiest way to get there is via the Fuengirola to Malaga train line, as the site now has its own station at which all trains now stop. Designed to resemble a typical Andalucia town, with its streets, squares, facades and fountains, Plaza Major is a great place to spend a few hours, especially in the evening. In addition to the bars and restaurants, there is a multi-screen cinema, a family entertainment center, 20 lane bowling alley and over 25 shops including a Nike factory. Free parking for 3000 vehicles. Open Monday to Sunday. Leave a Comment Theme: OtherDirections: Located east of Torremolinos and west of Malaga off Road N340 not too far from Malaga International Airport - you can't miss it as it's huge.

Walk past the flower sellers by Senoritasmile If you want to meander around a modern, air-conditioned ;-) department store and see some beautiful spanish-made clothes, accessories, bed linen, pictures, kitcheware etc........then Corte Ingles provides plenty of stock to peruse. The Malaga branch is split into two buildings that are easily accessed via an internal walkway, the secondary store being dedicated more to Homeware. Top floor has a selection of eateries; tapas bar, cafeteria and self-service unlimited buffet for 17.75 euros a head. Theme: Department StoreAddress: Calle Alameda Principal opposite train stationDirections: The main tree-lined street at the bottom of Calle Larios is the 'Alameda Principal' turn right and follow it past flowers sellers, over bridge and you'll see the store.

Handmade pin by paulapes We were close to the Plaza de Sigia(?) when wandering around during the short period of time we had before catching our bus to Marbella. Unfortunately I don't remember the shop name, but just about everything was handmade and it was difficult to make a selection!
Here is one of my purchases...It's a pin, and I get lots of compliments on it and lots of questions about exactly what the picture represents--I must confess, I don't know! But I love it and wear it often. Handmade, strange pic, conversation piece!
Prices were very reasonable, especially for handmade items, but I'm sorry, I can't remember specifics. Prices in Spain in general are excellent as a rule. Leave a Comment Theme: Local CraftAddress: Calle San AgustinDirections: Plaza de Sigia area
