The bus stand for the number 19 bus is located outside the Arrivals terminal, which takes you to Pz Torrijos in the City Centre. The Molina Lario is a 10 minute walk away from here. You can take the same bus to the airport, from the same stand for your return journey.
The ticket cost is 1.00 Euro per person, per trip.

I think one of the best choices is to hire a car. If you are going to stay more than a week it will be really cheap for you.
Try the following page: www.malagacar.com. We always use it when we travel to Malaga.

Each time I travel to Spain I have looked at all the sites for car hire and tend to come back to WWW.CARJET.COM.
They seem to have the best prices for when I want to go and the least hassle booking.
The last couple of times I have tried to gwet a Ford Fusion for the headroom and luggage space and have yet to getone as I have been bumped up (at no extra cost!) a group and ended up with a Focus!

In my opinion the best way to get around the sights of Malaga is the Open top bus tour. 13 Euros will buy you a hop on hop off ticket which is valid for 24 hours. You will be given a set of headphones to listen to the commentary (in several different languages) and a handy map of the City. The views of the coastline as you go up the hill to the Gibralfaro castle are stunning.

Pablo Ruiz Picasso airport is an international airport about 8 kms west of Málaga. It is the main airport for all visitors to the Costa del Sol.
The airport offers tax-free shopping, a foodcourt, bars, ATM and internet service for passengers. However, there is no left luggage facility.
Transportation:
There are several rental car companies. The airport has an easy connection to the main A7 coast road. There is also a half hour airport train or airport bus service to the city, and of course there are plenty of taxis.

If you drive a car in Malaga I strongly recommend you to park in a Public Parking when you visit the city center. It's not expensive (1€/hour aprox) and you'll save time looking for a not existing free parking space, and you stuff will be safe from thefts. There are a lot of Public Parkings available around the "Centro". Check out the website, I think it's very good (I think Spanish only, but try! ;) ).

When I visit a city, the is 2 things I always enjoy trying:
1. Public Buses (not touristic, real)
2. Local Supermarket (in neighbourhoods)
Well, if you have to move around Malaga, outside the city center, your first option gotta be always taking the bus. It's the cheapest way (1€ aprox 2007) and every part of Malaga is covered. Buses are modern and the frequency is ok. In major lines not much than 5 min, but in some specific lines around 30. The net is centered in Avenida Alameda Principal, from where you can reach nearly any spot in town. Buses are blue and white, but can be different depending if they are old or new models.
I'll talk about bus lines of interest in separated chapters, but gimme some time!

Another option to get Malaga is by train. There are train services from main Spanish cities. If you go to Torremolinos, Fuengirola or Malaga airport, you can take the local train or cercanias.
