La Tartana: Our Last Supper in Spain
The La Tartana Restaurante-Grille caters for all types of customers. You can select from traditional Spanish dishes, or the more usual 'British-type' meals, like steak, lamb or chicken.
Favorite Dish: Do you really expect me to remember what we all ate? I know that Jaymes had chicken, and Mary had lamb cutlets. I think Carmen and I had steak of some sort. With sweets, and coffee, and our drinks (including a bottle of wine), the bill for 5 of us was 77 Euros. Not too bad for what was an enjoyable final meal in Spain.
LaTartana: Please.... nothing more....
A newly opened restaurant in Marbella. We noticed in passing, that the expensive restaurant next door was full of people, this restaurant was empty. Not a good sign you my think. We checked the menu, the type of food looked good and not expensive at all. The following evening we gave it a try.
Favorite Dish: On my first visit we decided to try the Parilla for two, well when it arrived my eyes nearly popped out of my head... it was huge. The plates seemed to contain a large amount of everything from the complete menu. It had fillet steak, pork steak, lamb cutlets, ribs, kebabs, chorizo sausage and chicken, two pieces of each for the two of us.This was after a large (and very tasty) homemade pate starter. When the waitress arrived asking if we wanted deserts... I just let out a little moan... ''Please.... nothing more..... ''
All this with starter, coffee and drinks came to about €60 for two.
A few days later in the company of Geoff_Wright and his family we went again, this time picking smaller individual meals from the menu, smaller portions and slightly cheaper prices.
I think this place could become a fovourite.. I know I will be back.

Spanish food: La Tartana IS CLOSED
Amaizing... really, what a pitty we did nto take the camera, to show you, one of the best and biggest "parrillada" (meat grill) we had ever had for a great price (22 euros for two people!) ....
Prices are phantastic ... food is really good ...
Favorite Dish: We ordered
Entrantes: Pate 4,75 (enough for a light dinner)
Meal: Parrillada 22 euros (for two people)
A bottle of wine Peñascal 6.50 euros (incredible as market price is 4 euros... so they were not charging much)
Drinks after lunch were also really good ...
2,45 a Pacharan (digestive licour)
4,75 a massive Tia Maria ..... lol ..
Well a great dinner for less than 45 euros two people.. and leaving much of the food .. as it was just too much ..
