There are lots of informal restaurants along the seaside walk, called "chiringuitos". Whatever you decide to stop and eat you'll taste the delicious local fishes at reasonable prices.
What is giving the difference between a "chiringuito" and a regular restaurant is that they're placed directly on the beach, its floor is sand, there are no walls and, sometimes, tables are amoung palm trees and sunshades.
Favorite Dish: In particular, my favourite dish are skewers of sardines ("espetos"), fresh anchovines and whitebait. You can see what's the way they prepare the sardines!
En particular, mis platos favoritos son los "espetos" de sardinas, los boquerones y los chanquetes. ¡Podeis ver cómo se preparan las sardinas!
The Antonio Restaurant is situated in Puerto Banus, the marina. It serves excellent fish and seafood dishes and it's one of the favourites of the people who regularly go to Marbella, or live there.
It has a very nice atmosphere at night, with candle light and the seafood paella is the best I ever had. Everything is very fresh, with a good variety of excellent wines and has also a great service.
Favorite Dish: The seafood paella and the seafood fried mix.
The " Chiringuitos" are small restaurnats on the beach, serving tapas and food. This Chiringuito is an incredible place, family owned , with an open air setting under a tached roof.
They serve calamari, shrimp al ajillo, and other fish an seafood, very well prepared and always very fresh. Their sangria is excellent and the homemade french fries are the best I ever had!
Favorite Dish: Love everything here!
I have never eaten at old town, but I have to say that there are lots of restaurants looking very good, like for example the one in my picture. There are mainly restaurants with local and international food but there are also some cheap restaurants as burguers and pizzas.
Nunca he comido en el casco antiguo, pero debo decir que hay muchos restaurantes con buen aspecto aquí, como el de la foto. Principalmente los restaurantes son de cocina local e internacional, pero también hay algunas hamburgueserías y pizzerías baratos.
This restaurant at the Puente Romano Hotel, besides its fabulous location, in an open air setting, surrounded by tropical plants and palm trees and facing the beach, has delicious food. They serve a large buffet at lunch time. There is a table of salads and cold appetizers, lobster, shrimps, calamari and there is also a barbecue, where you choose the fresh different fish , squid and meats ( filet mignon, veal, lamb chops, etc) which the two chefs grill for you at the moment.
The table of desserts and different kinds of cheese is also a real temptation and a feast to the eyes! It's a bit expensive but well worth the money !
This restaurant also serves superb food, not only spanish dishes but also international ones. The food is homemade style, very well done and presented.
It has a nice romantic ambiance, with a patio with tables outside , surrounded by bouganvilias. It's advised to book in advance as it usually gets full.
Favorite Dish: The duck and the roasted pig.
Hans and I ate twice at the RESTAURANTE CHINO HONG KONG. Once by ourself and once when about 20 VT'ers descended upon them all at once. I was quite impressed how they handled us all. We usually order the Menu Del Dia which was a fantastic price of 5,50 Euro.
Choice of soup or Spring Roll. Fried Rice with three delights ( ham, peas and bits of egg ). Choice of Chicken with Almonds ( my favourite ), Sweet and sour Pork and a Beef Dish.
This family-owned restaurant was cheerful and bright and had amazing views over the beach and Meditterannean.
When Kat, Kristi, Hans and I were looking for someplace to eat, we decided on DA FABIO RISTORANTE ITALIANO as it was nearby the Princesa Playa and we were all in the mood for Italian. Hans had Lasagne Emilian which was 11.40 Euro. He said it was absolutely delicious. I had Spaghetti Bolognese which was 9.80 Euro and was fabulous. A generous bowl of parmesan was provided. One thing I didn't appreciate was the 1.50 Euro cover charge for each of us. Perhaps it was for the dried up bread sticks which we didn't even eat.. Other than that it was a delightful experience.
Carmen and Stace wanted to take me out for dinner for my birthday. As I was in the mood for Italian, we chose DA BRUNO SUL MARE RISTORANTE in Marbella. It was an awesome atmosphere, as we had a tenor singing while we ate. He did a wonderful rendition of "My Way". The staff were very efficient and professional.
Favorite Dish: I had a wonderful Ravioli stuffed with spinach in a delicious meat sauce. Hans had Lasagna which he said was very good. We all had appelstrudel for dessert. All in all it was a wonderful meal and I enjoyed it immensely. Thank you so much Carmen and Stace. Love you guys.
If you are looking for a romantic atmosphere, you must try the EL BALCON DE LA VIRGEN RESTAURANTE. Located in the Old Town of Marbella., it is on the corner of Calle Virgen de los Dolores and Calle Virgen de los Remedios.
We went with some friends, and it was an interesting experience.
As son as you sit, they give you a few salads and starters, that come with the meal inlcuded. Later on they come with the spades with the diferen meats for an stadard price of 15 euros per person, plus drinks and desert..
Dairiqui deserves lol at the end!!!
Favorite Dish: I do nto remeber the name, I will add as soon as possible.
It is close to the Faro, but on the back part of the promenade, not the one that has the entrance at the promenade.
You are the beach and you began to smell the sardines... fancy one?
Los 3 Pepes has been always in Marbella since the last 23 years I had been living here, not in the same palce, but the same owners in diferent places.
It is at Fontanilla Beach and prices are reasonable for a beach place.
Some suggestions are the sardines in espetos or if you are a goup the best is to order a paella.
If you decide for this latest... get there before and arrange one for certain hour so you do not have to be waiting more than half an hour.
Just discover a great ice cream parlour, just back from the beach. El Piave offers a wide range of flavours and they are incredible.
Favorite Dish: I had a cone with two flavours, double chocolate and pistacio for just a couple of Euros.
At Plza Marina (close to the Marina Banus shoping center) you can find this castillian restaurant, only spanish cousine... really nice, and good prices for being in Puerto Banus. Good service too
Favorite Dish: The owners are from Valladolid
You can have a nice break in Ricardo Soriano (the main street) after all the shopping (yes, ZAra, cortefiel, and the rest of shops are near) having a nice coffe and something to eat.
sandwiches are really nice and good value fir money... even being on the city center
Favorite Dish: Italian fast food, spec Tramezzini, mozarella in carroza....
