It was getting late in the afternoon on a Sunday in mid March. Some of the restaurants had already closed, others were not yet open (if that makes sense!). The Asador De Ojén is an Argentinian Restaurant, specialising in 'Carnes Argentinas', 'Empanadillas Criollas'. 'Pollos', 'Pizza' and more besides.
As it was getting close to closing time, we were the only customers, but we weren't rushed. The place was very clean with an inviting atmosphere.
Mary, Jayes and I had steak and chips, whilst Carmen and Stacy shared a large mixed grill, if I remember correctly. Nicely cooked, but the portions were rather on the small side. The food in this restuarant is fantastic and tony and gloria are very friendly. The atmosphere is lovely and the whole village eats here. the prices are very reasonable. The portions very big. I have been going to Ojen for 5 years and always go to restuarant de Ojen. Its in a small side street, before you reach the wine museum, on the right going up, left coming down , obviously. As the whole village eats here at some time the atmospher is lovely, very friendly very loud, very busy. It's just fantatic.
sollomillo, pork fillet. It's fantastic. I also like rack of ribs, but you can have them at home. 1f you like lamb? Then order the lamb chops --- all 12 of them!!! The portions are very big because the spanish eat here. Also you must try menu del Dia. Three course lunch.bottle of wine,bottle of lemonade,bread rolls, all for 7euros. Shall we have a SIESTA?
