Ok, Sanlucar is the kingdom of 'pescaito frito' and pratically everywhere you can eat wonderful and fresh seafood...But La Chiquitina is a nice 'chiringuito' (kiosk) just in the middle of Calzada del Ejercito (the principal pedestrian way to the sea), when you can sit informally and eat tapas or huge portions of the best and fresh seafood in town! Cheap prices and a quick and kind service.

Favorite Dish: Sardinas a la plancha, puntillitas, choco a la plancha with vegetables, berenjenas (aubergines) fritas

    Casa Balbino: Great Seafood Tapas

    Mmmmm, winkles!

In the northwest corner of the center of town, the Plaza del Cabildo, Cafe Balbino has a staggering selection of fresh seafood. The best way to sample a lot of different things is to purchase tapas, the small plate size servings that can be shared by everyone at your table. Most servings are less than 3 euros. They have menus in various languages and the staff are very friendly and want you to enjoy their food.

There are a few bar stools and high tables but the best is to take your dishes out into the square and eat at one of the tables there. The operation is strictly take away and you order at the large glass display case that is full of fish, prawns, and various shellfish. Pay when you're done (terminado)...the staff will keep track of what you ordered.

    Definitely worth the visit!

Favorite Dish: Winkles (small snail-like sea shellfish), pulpio (octopus), sliced snail, tortillas de camarones (shrimp fritters)

    Ro Guadalquivir (Spain)

This district offers, especially along the River Guadalquivir (pic), excellent restaurants and bars with typical food and seafood; don't miss the King prawns.
