The ruins of the Roman town of Italica are located just outside the town of Santiponce. Some of the ruins with their mosaic floors and the very impressive Amplitheatre are well worth seeing. Entry to EU citizens is free. Allow yourself at least two or three hours to explore the site. Best explored during the morning before the sun gets too warm, or take plenty of water. Drinking fountains are provided, but the water is warm.
