Walk to Salamanca --20.5k - New refugio behid cathederal
Short day to allow us plenty of time to explore salamanca when we arrived, Beautiful old city and you could ealily spend several days here -- infortunately I didn't have the time but never-the-less enjoyed what I saw !!

Walk to Morille -- 34k -- refugio
Today is the day when you cross the High point of the walk !! We had a great day, sunny and clear and the views were awesome !!

Walk to Fuenterroble de Salvatierra -- 20.3k -- refugio
Pleasant days walking with good lunch stop at Valdelacasa
The refugio at Fuenterroble de Salvatierra is very good and there are two bars in town the closer one to the refugio does Good food but you have to order it in advance -- Best to do so when you arrive in the village !!

Walk to Calzada de Bejar -- 22.3k -- Excellent new Alberge
A welcome shorter day with a Great lunch stop at Banos de Montemayor and another temping break point at Puente de la Magdalena
Please note -- Calzada de Bejar is a mountain village with basic amenities, only one bar and no public telephone however the Alberge offers Good reasonably priced food including breakfast !!

Yet another Long day with the walk to Aldeanueva del Camino -- 38k -- refugio
This is a difficult section to split -- you end up with either very long or very short days
No facilities en-route so make sure that you have sufficient food and water !!
The "Triumphal Arch" makes a Great half way point break !!

Walk to walk to Carcaboso- 39.5k - R+F or Hostal
Another Long day -- Possible late lunch stop at Galisteo however because of the length of the day we chose to bypass this town. Undulating walking through great scenery

Walk to Canaveral -- 33.7k --refugio
Long day with No lunch stop -- Be Prepared !! -- Make sure you start early and avoid the heat, good day but a bit of tarmac in the middle when you have to walk along side a main road over Long bridges to cross a reservoir !!

Walk to Aldea del Cano -- 17k -- refugio -- Please not that this refugio is very basic with no beds -- you sleep on the floor !!
Short day through pleasant countryside with a good brunch stop at Casas de Don Antonio

Walk to Meridia --16.1k -- Hostal -- we later found out that there was a new Alberge in the city centre !!
Short day which gave us Plenty of time for exploring the Old Roman Ruins in Meridia -- This was really a Great little City !!

Alberge in Torremegia was closed but we found a great place to stay at Hostal Millennium
Walking through open and Very Flat country !!
