Isla Magica, Sevilla
I didn't go there, because I had no time, but could see from distance that some of the buildings that I visited during EXPO 92 still stand in the island. The area around the lake was transformed in an amusement park.
More than using the attractions installed in the park, I'm curious to compare with the original that I still have in memory, but... it has to wait!
In the middle of the Isla Cartuja where in 1992 the WORLD EXPO took place, is now a huge THEME PARK.
To get to know the HORARIO (opening hours) of the different attractions you can call: 902 16 00 00
Really everything is overwhelming, big fun, thrilling and a joy for young and those not so young...
A real MUST this MAGIC ISLAND.....
one of the prettiest towns of spain . thou i´ve only been there to spend a day at the theme park Isla Magica . been there a dozen times but with a ten year old every summer we have to return . a wonderfull theme park and also suitable to "big" children with rollercoasters and everything you can find in any amusement park...
We took the late admission pass to beat the crowds and the midday heat. Our bus arrived back around dusk and with a cheap digital camera I took the best shot of the trip. The blue sky was exactly as in the photo of the cathedral, no filters were used.
Where was situated the Expo, you can find now the Sevilla's Theme Park ISLA MAGICA , with a lots of attractions, including a spectacular Rollercoaster and lots more!!
Their visitors will spend an unforgettable day each one of the six areas that make of Isla Magica the paradise of the amusement traveling: Sevilla Puerto of India, Door of America, Amazonia, The Den of the Pirates, the Youth's Source and Eldorado. In each one of them a different adventure awaits to its scanners, transferring them behind four centuries and making them feel what the most audacious adventurers in the time lived. An entire guarantee of amusement and entertainment for everybody.
Isla Magica, located in the Isla de la Cartuja, is the only Thematic Park of the world built inside a city. A new leisure space perfectly integrated in the heart of Seville, with an unbeatable communication and easy access for the diverse communication roads.
A former World's fair site is now converted to an Amusement park. Quite a contrast with the high culture of the rest of Seville but a good break if travelling with kids.
