on August 26, 2004The fish market area here is huge with a large variety of sea offerings. One morning I saw a HUGE fish head displayed proudly by one vendor. The area is kept cleaner than clean and is meticulously scrubbed daily when the market closes for seista at 1:30.
The vegetables in Tarifa are always good as Spain grows things year round. Strawberries are something you must try, and in the height of the season can be found as big as your fist. And the eggs are fresher than fresh.
The meat found in the Old Market is chopped up right in front of you, and everything I bought was ridiculously cheap.
Prices vary, but are generally cheaper than the Supermarkados.
