Old Town Market
This Market situated within the Old Town is another must see in Tarifa. I spent many a morning here sitting sipping cafe con leche watching the early shoppers getting veggies and meats, flowers and eggs. The men sat with me, waiting for their wives, some of them sipping cognac or other mysterious alchohols. There are clothing shops here too, with a change booth situated in the middle of the floor that resembles a magician's box.
The fish market area here is huge with a large variety of sea offerings. One morning I saw a HUGE fish head displayed proudly by one vendor. The area is kept cleaner than clean and is meticulously scrubbed daily when the market closes for seista at 1:30.
What to buy: The vegetables in Tarifa are always good as Spain grows things year round. Strawberries are something you must try, and in the height of the season can be found as big as your fist. And the eggs are fresher than fresh.
The meat found in the Old Market is chopped up right in front of you, and everything I bought was ridiculously cheap.
What to pay: Prices vary, but are generally cheaper than the Supermarkados.

In the center of Tarifa you'll find streets full of clothes shops!! Loads of surf style shops but also quite a few non-surf style. I swear i've never seen so many shops in a small place like that. It can be dangerous.
