The great mistake of all the travelers in Zaragoza is thinking that El Pilar is the only thing to see, they are missing the best in my city.
And, remember: in Spain, and in Zaragoza too, the tip is given for a good service, and no one can claim for it. Leave a Comment

 Honoring guests in front

October 12 is a national holiday in Spain, honoring Colon (aka Columbus).
But also, that date is the major fiesta honoring the Virgin Pilar, the patron saint of Zaragoza.
Add the two together and you have all the right ingredients for a party. One solid week of historical rememberences, homage to the Virgin, concerts, street performers, general partying!!
The main event is the local people paying homage to the Virgin by bringing flowers, fruit, etc and eventually making a mountain of blessings!
