How could we NOT go into a store with a fake cow on their awning? Hey, we're from the Boston area where our Hilltop restaurants have taken the concept of fake cows and turned them into an art form!
What to buy: I bought a cryovac package with the makings of the famed Fabada to bring home to my mother. It was delicious and fun to prepare.
I can't tell you that this was the store or the town's specialty because you can find these all over Asturias. I can tell you that you should buy as many of these as you can because it's, in a word: yummers.

We saw these all over Asturias and Cantabria. I suspect they're all over Spain. They're discount stores that sell all sorts of household products, cheap clothes, jewelry, toys..... you get the picture. I love stores like this, don't you?

Cangas de Onis has quite a few fun little stores full of Asturian crafts. Why.... you can get clogs, hats, jewelry, cryovac fabada makings (Actually, VERY yummy!), t-shirts, etc.
You could shop till you drop and they'd love you if you did.

This shop is near of the Roman Bridge, it is very easy to find. Don't worry if you forget something, you can buy it there. You'll find everything in this shop: souvenirs, drinks, food, magazines etc.
