Favorite thing: The Old Town is near the City Hall Square, and it has several parts:
-City Hall Square
-Marqués´s Square, where you can see KIng Pelayo Statue and Revillagigedo Palace. It´s a very nice place where you can relax, drinking some cider (or any other drink) during the day (or night) and dancing in the night clubs.
-Cimadevilla, with pubs too, nice houses and typical restaurants.

Fondest memory: Semana Negra (Black Week) during the summer is a lot of fun in Xixon. There are lots of concerts and festivities going on. The city doesn't sleep during this time. It's fantastic! After we enjoyed some concerts, we walked all the way to the other side of the beach (which is a very long walk) to see the big, ugly modern art sculpture called 'Elogio del Horizonte'. Then, since the buses and trains stop running around midnight and we had no money, we had to sleep on the Playa de San Lorenzo with a bunch of other people. Then at like 5 am, we got up and went to the inner port which is lined with palm tress and is sofly lit, and we just sat and enjoyed the quietness. It was a nice time! We went home exhausted! We were too busy partying to take pictures so picture from Semana Negra is borrowed from Asturias Natural.com

Fondest memory: The little town of Cabrales is great. It transport you to the past, and make you feel very close to the nature. In that place is where the Cabrales cheese is make. I went to a house of this old lady that make cheese and explain me all the process. Is great coz they put the cheese in some caverns and that's the secret of the flavor of the famous Cabrales Cheese.
She told me that the cheese have to be in some caverns during month so have that special flavor.
The cheese is use at all Asturias and some other parts of Spains with the famus tapa 'Patatas al Cabrales' (mmmm, yumy)
