A "sidrería" is a typical restaurant/bar here in Asturias. There, you can taste our great cider, delicious fish or even seafood, "tapas" (little portions of food, very cheap), lots of different cheeses, sweet desserts and many things more. Here, we have a real cider culture, and you can realize if you get into one of these places. It´s really worthy....I promise!.
Well, it´s almost imposible to say...maybe "pastel de cabracho" (it´s a cake made with a kind of fish), or the chesses (specially one of them called "Cabrales", famous all over the country because of its awful smell), or the octopus (though it´s better cooked in Galicia), or the "arroz con leche" (or rice with milk. It´s a delicious sweet dessert).... by lucyguajardo You have also to try the cheeses of the region becauser are superb.
Not matter what restaurant you choose. All Asturias have a great gastronomic art!!!. The natural (hard) cider is famous, as is the unique manner of serving it, descanting (escanciar) it from on high so that it foams up as it splashes into the glass held low in the other hand. Theme: Other

Leave a Comment Theme: Other

Leave a Comment Theme: Other

"Picos de Europa" is a cafe with middle prices. Here you can eat "platos cobinados" - complex of food. Usualy sousage, potatos, chicken etc. are in this complex. Nothing luxurious, but the best way how to have a meal.
In "Picos de Europa" you'll find "churros" - traditional cookies. The best time for "churros" is breakfast. Leave a Comment Theme: LocalPrice: US$11-20 » Currency ConverterComparison: about averageAddress: GijonDirections: In one of the central squeres of Gijon
