Asturias has a very vibrant night life, particularly during summer festivals. During festival, the party doens't usually stop until 4 or 5 am. Oviedo, Gijon and Mieres all have a lot of really great pubs and discos to party the night away.I spent a lot of time at night in Oviedo Most of the good night life spots in Oviedo are located in the old part of the city (casco antiguo) , near the cathedral. In this area, no cars are allowed, so the area is overrun with pedestrians partying in the streets. I forget the name of a lot of the pubs and discos I frequented, but I recall that 'La Caverna' was one of my favorites because it wasn't so loud you could actually have a conversation.Pedestrians RULE in the old quarter of Oviedo. This makes for good pubbing and clubbing! (Ladies, some pubs don't stock their toilets with toilet tissue, I suggest you stuff some in your pocket before you venture...
