Fornalutx Restaurants

This restaurant is just heavenly. Situated just off the church square. With romatic tables both inside and out, laid with fresh white linen. The menu is packed with local produce. Neil the English host will guide you through the menu and specials of the day are well worth sampling. The wines are all local and reasonably priced. By the way dont visit without trying one of the chefs mouth watering deserts. A word of warning its advisable to book a table as this little gem gets very busy.

Favorite Dish: I tried the homemade tomato soup, this was so fresh and tasty. I then had the hake done in light batter with chips. To finish I had a trio of chocolate puddings, I was told that they may now be doing a plate with a selection of five desserts. The evening was just perfect, cant wait to return to Cafe Med and fornalutx.

Bella Vista is the best place to go for lunch and is open some evenings as well. Closed Wednesday all day, and Sunday evening.

The food is traditional and very good - on a par with more expensive restaurants.

The owners and staff are so kind and welcoming. Very efficient people, but they dont rush you, which is just as well because you could sit there all day taking in the laid back atmosphere that is rural Mallorca. And the view from the Bella Vista is to die for.

You must use their loo, go spend a penny as they're very clean and always smell nice wee rooms.

If you take my advice and go to Bella Vista - say hola to Tolo and Michelle, and their lovely daughters Silve and Sabina - tell them we'll see them soon from me Finlay and Rosemary from Scotland.

Favorite Dish: It's all good, but for me it's got to be Sole meuniere cooked by Tolo's daughter Sabina.

The Sword Fish is also excellent, Steak Roquefort is great.

You must have a Whisky Tarta for pudding.

Oh.. and dont forget the Cava!

Bella Vista Susie agrees that the Sole Meuniere is the best! Beautiful view from inside the Bella Vista

Es Turo is every bit as good as the restaurant next door, C'an Antun's, which gets all the rave reviews in the tour guides. It is actually better service and friendlier staff.
Food is just as good, price is much the same.
Try and get a table outside.

Favorite Dish: All the food is good, no matter what you get.
    House wine cheap and okay.

Fornalutx Nightlife

There is no nightlife in Fornalutx if you want clubbing. But, Miguel at Bar Deportivo will serve you any drink you wish untill you're ready to retire.
Drinks are reasonably priced and v.good measures.
Everyone thats up, ends up at Miguels.. so that tells you something.
One drawback.. he is shut on Thursdays.
So on a Thursday you make do with the other two local bars, Paca's next door is my choice, or Cafe Sa Placa across the square is okay.. but a bit "wacky!"

    Dress Code: Casual, or whatever.
