Amazing sites to see.

The most beautiful places i've seen on Menorca are cala Galdana beach and the caves of Xoroi (cala en porter) Cala Galdana is a beautiful lagoon, with a pine tree covered cliffs surrounding a gorgeous beach, worthy of a Caribbean beach. There are lots of amenities in cala Galdana, but despite it's beauty and tourism attraction, it wasn't too busy, so for people who want such a picturesque place, but not to be mobbed by untolds of holiday makers spoiling it, Galdana's the place for you. The caves of Xoroi are in cala en porter. There's a restaurant outside them and by day it's a bar and viewing point from inside the caves, looking out over the med, half way up a very high cliff. By night it turns into a nightclub. A nightclub, inside a cave, that looks out over the med a 100 feet or more up a cliff. Need i say more. If you are young, old party animal or just wanting to see the stunning...

Blue Skies and Beaches

I would definitely recommend Puerto Pollensa, you will find lots of independent accomodation on www.puertopollensa.com, i would suggest booking something in the central, marina area; Pinaret, or the pine walk area (although this is the most expensive part). The local bus service is good and you can easily get to the Puerto Alcudia area for a day, this a more lively area than Puerto Pollensa. It is also worth checking out the old town of Alcudia for the market on Sunday and Tuesday, the old town of Pollensa and a boat trip to the beach at Formentor. Car hire is relatively cheap in Mallorca so could be a good idea to book a car from the airport.Plenty of day trips by coach available too, such as with No Frills Tours, info at Tourist Office near bus stop on seafront.

Deia

by Docu2001

It was late summer and I was attending an international wedding on the Island of Mallorca ... in the small town of Deia. This place has a reputation as a haven for hippies from the 1960's who came and never left ... and told others about it. Soon the spirit of the place incorporated the laid-back rhythms of both the spanish and the counter-cultures ... I encourage you to wander through the streets at night ... stopping to dance or eat in the cafes ... The nights are long and beautiful in August. During the day the rocky coastline yields water-front bistros where fresh seafood is grilled within spitting distance of the sea ... You may be able to swim to lunch but you will probably want to be driven out. There are many things to love about Mallorca ... Deia is certainly one of them.
