Situated at the southern end of the fortifications the Sant Bernat Bastion was the last to be built under Calvi’s plan. In 1570 Alonso Rubian ordered that the Soto Fosc tunnel and gate, next to the bastion should be opened. It has casemates on its flanks and propr to the half bastion known as Es Revelli being built it was covered on the eastern site with walls.

Cavaliers were raised fortifications which enabled optimum use for artillery fire. The Sant Lluc Cavalier was designed by architect Antoni Saura, which was built on top of the Sant Pere Bastion at the end of the sixteenth century. The artillery positioned here could fire over the bastion at the enemy approaching the wall.

On Carrer Sant Ciriac there is a chapel dedicated to that saint. According to a legend the door through which Catalan troops entered during the Festival of Sant Ciriac was here. This festival is still celebrated on the 8th of August.

The entrance gate to the Renaissance walls, the Rastrillo or Portal de ses Taules as it is commonly called was built in the 16th century and the architect is unknown.
The current drawbridge was added in 1990 and was rebuilt using old photographs.

The Castle and Almudeina are located on a rock upon which the city was founded more than 2600 years ago. The castle is a fortification that was remodelled throughout the ages according to military needs and weapons development. In the 18th century it took its modern-day form.

The Archeological Museum of Dalt Vila is located in the building that housed the islands self governing body from the 13th century. The building has three sections each with a different style: Baroque, Mudejar and Gothic. The latter, which is the entrance to the museum, was built in the 13th or 14th century by religious brotherhoods of sailors and fishermen for the worship of Sant Salvador.

The inside of Eivissa Cathedral is a master piece of Gothic Catalan style. A massive altar, a shrine and many statues can be seen. Also the Cathedral museum is a must see.
However upon entering the cathedral ensure that you wear appropriate clothing otherwise you will be asked to leave the cathedral.

Eivissa Cathedral is dedicated to the Virgin Mary. Building started in the 14th century quiet possibly on the site of a mosque and was completed in the 16th century. In the beginning it was meant to be a magnificent display of Gothic Catalan style. Remodelled several times to fit in with the design of the Medieval Walls, it took its final shape in the 18th century with Baroque additions to its apse and nave.

The old Village of D'alt Villa

This area has been taken over by many different kinds of people. The Punic Necropolis is right by it, signifying one of the first groups to come here, the Carthaginians. It's been a key point to the protection of Spain throughout the ages. The Moors have used it, the British, the Spaniards. It then led up to a huge guard tower being built in order to defend the island. There are cannons, guns, and the like here. D'alt Villa is not just the tower, but also a specific area. It has a church, shops, and more. It's a popular place to live even though there is hardly any room on the roads (I don't think such huge cars were kept in mind when it was built). Whitewash buildings abound in this peaceful little area of Ibiza town.

Ibiza town split in two parts, one over the hill with the former city and other down with main commercial streets and the harbour
Also in this last there is the gay life. Exactly at the left side of the ramparts as you see in this pic
