I know it is only common sense to look after handbags etc. But while we were in S'Agamassa a lady had been walking along a narrow pavement with her husband, she was next to the road, and had her handbag on her shoulder on the road side. Suddenly she felt her bag being pulled from her shoulder. She couldnt believe it had all happened so quickly!!! The offenders were on a motor scooter, and it seems that whilst the driver of the scooter slowed down enough, the pillion passenger then learned over and snatched the ladies bag!!! Besides them getting away with the bag, money etc. the action caused her to fall and she badly damaged herself and needed to go to the hospital. So a warning is to carry bags away from the road. Apparently the police had told her that this action was getting more common. Leave a Comment

I feel awful!!! by JulesH If you are a clubber, this is inevitable! It consists of aching limbs, a fever and is usually accompanied by a cough or cold. No-one knows exactly why it strikes, but the theory is that you have burned your immune system out with too many late nights or early mornings and you will pick up any germs which will usually be floating around the West End. This year, mine struck following a 28 hour day culminating in a marathon session at Eden and Space. I just kept going until I couldn't do it anymore! If you don't want to end up looking like this, I suggest you take some echinacea with you to fend off infection and some multi-vits. If you succumb, there is a chemist who speaks English located at the bottom of the West End opposite the taxi rank. Leave a Comment

Two of my friends and i were walking along the beach and out of nowhere these big buxom women dressed in african clothes appoached us and some how seperate the three of us from each other. It happened so fast - i didnt even know they were there until i was getting this band made out of hair wrapped around my finger. The next thing I knew they were asking me for money and being in shock and not knowing what to do i started to reach for my purse to give them some change, I pulled out 1 euro and as I did that they were saying that i must have more than that and tried to take my purse from me to have a look. I could not see my friends anywhere, but all of a sudden in the distance i caught a glimpse of one of them and the next thing i knew she pulled me out from the wrath of these women - I was saved! Basically my message is run!

Clubbing is a huge part of holidaying in Ibiza, therefore tickets to the clubs (or disco tickets as they're called in Ibiza) are sold about everywhere.. in bars, restaurants, shops, hotels.. Tickets usually cost 15-50 euro depending on the club, event, DJ.. Generally buying at the door will be the most expensive (up to 70 euros at Pacha on some nights). When tickets are that pricey of course you want the best deal. Prices may vary at the different outlets, but it's important to be aware when purchasing tickets as many are sold with restrictions (no entrance after 1 am, not valid on certain days etc) I had a really sour experience buying tickets from one of the OFFICIAL outlets (Tantra in Playa d'en Bossa) for Tiësto at Privilege at 45 euros - only to discover that the ticket was not valid on that day and having to step out of the awful long line at Privilege and buying an additional ticket for 20 euros. We did go back and we did get a refund, but I'm still not sure of the policy of these tickets outlets..Even when buying tickets for Pacha at the Pacha shop we discovered that they were not valid after 2:30 AM. So be careful! Study the tickets carefully before/right after buying, or buy at the official stores or at the door.

Walled old town by ettenaj When visiting the Old Town do remember to wear sensible shoes as the climb up to the top is quite steep, high heels are not recommened. The view from the top is great, also the view looking up to it from the bottom is splendid. Leave a Comment

I do not know in the rest of the island but in San Antonio even washing your teeth is not very nice. Also is recommended to drink a few litters everyday specially if you go on partying and then to the beach, but I guess that’s common sense…. Water is a treasure in the island and very expensive, as they do not have many ways of getting it. Leave a Comment

Lucky Lucky man on the beach. by Beach_dog The 'Lucky Lucky men' you will recognise them. Most are African from Senegal and you will see many around the streets and beaches of San Antonio and occassionally in Ibiza town. They are selling cheap gold jewelry, designer sunglasses and watches, and ask extortionate prices. The 'gold' jewelry will turn green on your first swim in the sea, and if the watch still works at the end of the holiday you are lucky. This is all a front though for selling drugs, they will then offer you Hashish, E's, pills etc. They can be agressive and have been known to force money out of people. The best policy with them is a firm 'No' and dont get involved in a conversation or shake their hands (they dont let go). Leave a Comment
