Monasterio San Cristobal.: Good pastries in Dalt Vila - a great discovery.

by Maurizioago Updated Aug 27, 2014

If you are at Dalt Vila in Ibiza Town; don' t miss to buy some pastries made by the cloistered nuns who live at the San Cristobal nunnery. They make and sell pastries and savoury food.

Here you can by a cake, some pastries and other things. The nuns sell cold mineral water as well.

Favorite Dish: I had a couple of pastries filled with fruit. They were very good. I even had "orejas" the first time I went to that place. It is a typical pastry. I liked it.

C'as Mila Restaurant: Fresh lobster , tasty beef, great sea food...

by venteeocho Updated Oct 26, 2005

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Nowhere has restaurants quite like Ibiza. The food is top-class and the settings are spectacular. Where else can you have lunch on the beach in a typically Spanish Chiringuito and then later dine in style and sophistication in one of the hill top restaurants, overlooking the twinkling lights below.

You can dine in old candle-lit country farmhouses…relax over tapas in one of the many charming country villages…eat on the beach in shade of the searing sun…sit out on the terrace watching the small boats arriving at the jetty with todays fresh catch; never far away is the aroma of fresh fish being cooked on an open grill.

Typical Ibicenco dishes include: all types of fish, rabbit, lamb, chicken etc.. Stews are very popular, especially during the winter months.

    Favorite Dish: Stunning coastal views.

    There are lots of restaurants...

There are lots of restaurants all over San Antonio ranging from traditional Spanish through to fast food places like McDonalds.
    Ranges from cheap to expensive.

Favorite Dish: My favourite was a sea fish platter in a traditional Spanish restaurant down one of the backstreets. It contained different fish and shellfish, I cannot remember the names of them all though. There was one worrying piece though that looked a bit dodgy, I didn`t ask what it was until I had eaten it.

    Villa Mercedes: chilled food !

    by Jimbo_22 Written Dec 4, 2003

If relaxing is what you want on your travels, then you have to go here to eat at least once. The people are friendly, the food is gorgeous and you can have a lie down whilst eating in the chillout garden.

There are african chilled beats playing in the background, and cold wine on tap. I nearly fell asleep when I went there, it was so relaxing . . .
