Nowhere has restaurants quite like Ibiza. The food is top-class and the settings are spectacular. Where else can you have lunch on the beach in a typically Spanish Chiringuito and then later dine in style and sophistication in one of the hill top restaurants, overlooking the twinkling lights below. You can dine in old candle-lit country...

As in most places you will find that you will get on a lot better with the locals if you try to speak their language, even if it is only a few words. I have found in restaurants you can even get an extra free drink if you try a little bit of Spanish.

Isla de Ibiza Warnings and Dangers

  • Cover Up Or Burn Up

It never ceases to amaze me the amount of people that refuse to put on suncream and opt for nothing or even baby oil or cooking oil in the naieve belief that it will help them tan quicker. It will not, it will only make you burn and then peel quicker.A high factor sunscreen is always a good idea, a healthy white skin is far more attractive than...

  • Drugs Warning

Beware of drugs. Drugs can be found almost anywhere in San Antonio if you want them but a polite no thanks normally sends the dealers on their way. We were asked as soon as we got into our room and several times after but as i said polite no was all it took to get rid of them.

The aquarium Cap Blanc is a large cave with lots of fishes. One doesn' t have to expect to see colourful creatures there. In fact all the fishes you see in that aquarium are typical fishes living in the Ibiza sea, Many of them are the kind of fishes you eat at the restaurants on the island.

When I visited the aquarium a young biologist was on the spot. She gave me me some information I asked about the fishes I saw there.

There is a cafe just outside the aquarium

The address of the aquarium is; C. tra de Cala Graciò. It is opposite the hotel Tanit and down a pathway. It is some 2 km far from the center of San Antoni.

Fun Alternatives: You can go to Cala Graciò. It is a nice beach; not far from the aquarium.

One of the nicest fishes at the aquarium.
