the best deal to arrive to Menorca and Balearic islands is vueling.com a spanish carrier who flights over spain and other cities in europe as Paris, Rome

Try to book in advance due to is bloody cheap than not 5 or 6 days before your trip

    Rent a car..easy and cheap

The best suggestion i can do is rent a car in the ferry harbour or in the airport. Although there are public bus, this is too expensive.
There are a lot of agencies everywhere ..really easy

In fact with the rented car can arrive every small beach you seek in your map or discover places where you can fell free, without anybody on your side or children screaming!

This pic is from the best 'cala' for me in the island. Their name is Binimel.la in the north of Menorca and you can acced by car or byke by a sand track

Be sure to get out of the touristic zone around your hotel. Even if the marina of Cala'n Bosch was nice in its own way, I got a completely different feeling of the island, as soon as we started exploring the little towns and the countryside.
The first days we went by bus, but then decided to rent a car for our last three days.
It was the wisest thing we could have done,
and made it so much easier to see the places we wanted to see. The larger towns, and some popular beaches are covered by bus - more or less regularly, but most of the hidden gems of the islands are only reached by car, bike or feet.
Bicycling are perfect on Menorca, although we didn't do it this time, and bikes are available to rent at all the hotels.
Walking was one of the most pleasant experiences I had on Menorca, the smells of herbs in the countryside gave me a new and different perspective - and I wish I could have spent more time exploring the island by foot.

Driving along the main road you'll see many lanes branching off in both directions, well just take anyone of them and you may be lucky enough to find an empty beach all for yourself,we did on several occasions.

The best way to get around on the island is a mixture between three means of transport. A car, a bicycle and your own feet.
Rental cars are widely available and inexpensive. With a car it is possible to see almost the entire island within one week, and there is still enough time for some hiking, cycling and sunbathing.
There are some wonderful hiking trails along the coast from 'cala' to 'cala'. As a matter of fact, some of the most beautiful 'calas' are only accessible on foot.
The quiet country roads are perfect for relaxed cycling.
