The Cap de Formentor is situated at the north east side of the island. It is a very winding road that leads to the lighthouse which is at the end of the peninsular. If you don't have time to do the full journey to the lighthouse you can get excellent views from the Mirador de Colomers which is just a few miles from Port de Pollenca. Everyone seems to stop there and it has a well worn track that leads out to a large viewing area.

Address: On the north east side of the island.
The lighthouse is at the end of a long and very very bendy road that is not for the nervous driver, or passenger come to that.
There's not a great deal to do once you get there, other than have a look around, take in the views, and catch your breath before realising you have to go all the way back again along the same bendy roads.
In all honesty, I'd give it a miss, but if like me you can't bear the thought of thinking you're missing out on something then be my guest.

Well, I think that Formentor, in the North-Eastern coast of Mallorca is worth to be visited! It's not so far from Palma and natural landscapes give you wonderful sights! You can see only a few rich country-houses there!
Another unforgettable experience is to have a safari-tour. There are a lot of guided visits you can enjoy...
Safari was so enjoyable because I wouldn't ever thought to find that landscape on an Isle so famous for its beach!
How may ostriches I saw!

You must visit Formentor which is about 5 miles from Puerto Pollensa,
there is not much there, but you can just laze on the beach and relax, not too many people
go there as it is a bit of a trek. Drive there and you encounter very winding roads which are bit dangerous at times, and if you go a bit further along you reach the lighthouse where there is also a restaurant. Or you can also get there by boat.
Great for snorkling.
Location: To the north of the island
