This historical train is a must for all train lovers and for all others who wants to step back in time for an hour....
It starts in Palma, right next to the other station there......In summer there are two panoramic trains that will also stop at the viewing point near Soller. It costs 8,45 € both ways and departs at 10.15h and 12.15h from Palma. Queues at the ticket box can be quite long.... we have been there around one hour before the train left, and there already was a short queue.......well maybe it´s ok to be there at 12 when all others have their tickets.....don´t know really....

You have to take this tram to get to the port, it´s great!!! It costs 1 € each way and it starts right next to the train station in Soller. There are some more stops on its rumbling ride to the port.....

Right when U get down from the Soller train, U'll find the Soller tram. Very well known, as the train. Is a must to every visitor. It keeps it's old atmosfere. It's a open tram, like the one U can find on San Francisco, maybe older. it's like traveling to the past in a ancient commercial town.
It's 2 euros to go to the port and 2 euros back. I advice U to make your way down to the port on foot and then back in the tram.

The Soller train does't run, it walks. It is meant for U to let yourself be carried slowly across the landscape, to go deep into the nature and enjoy her. It's like a travelling viewpoint, an observatory in motion. Without doubt, the most alternative and gentle to get on one's way.
Since almost a century ago, these wooden wagoons link the island capital with Soller. The train takes an hour to cover the 27 km to Soller, trough valleys full of oranges and olvies. It goes trough the Tramuntana Serra, crossing 13 tunnels, one of them 3 km long.
In summer the train departs each 30 mimnutes. Every other month, every one hour. The 2 wayt ticket cost 11 euros. One way 6 euros. There is a "touristical" one, at 10am and 11am. Toursitical because it makes a 10 minutes stop in a place from where U'll have a magnificent view of Soller.
