Favorite thing: I think a good way to find out about a culture is to listen to their music whether tradtional or modern. While in Bilbao and Basque Country I discovered an artist by the name of Fermin Muguruza. His music is sung in Basque and is political in nature but fun to listen to. Once i arrived back at home I checked out his website and the lyrics were also available in Spanish, French, and English.
Fondest memory: Driving through Bilbao and the Biskaia listening to Basque Music.

Favorite thing: You won't understand a thing of the Basque language, because it isn't familiar to any language. So here is a link to some words with their English, Spanish, German and French equivalent.

Favorite thing: Although Bilbao is generally a peaceful city, there is non-violent protest. The Basque issue remains unanswered.
