Lots of bars, I would recommend the Old Part...La Granja and the Iruña, are very good place to meet Bilbainos.
Muchos Bares, recomendaría el Casco Viejo...La Granja y el Iruña, locales de toda la vida, para conocer a los locales.

DONOSTIA-SAN SEBASTIAN
Parte Vieja
This is the area with the best atmosphere in Donostia. In this multi-coloured city centre meet the young and the old alike. You can find pintxos and drinks; the atmosphere continues until three am. The most frequented street is Fermin Calbeton and the Plaza de la Constitucion.
Calle San Bartolomé
This street near La Concha Bay, parallel to San Martin street, has a number of pubs where the young and beautiful meet.
Reyes Católicos
Those closer to their 30's or those over 30 can find other people of the same age group in the pubs of this street, located at the back of the Good Shepard cathedral.
For those who prefer Caribbean music, 'La Habanera' is a basement located under the Victoria Eugenia theatre. The cafeteria at the new Kursaal is also a good alternative.
HONDARRIBIA
Parte Vieja
In the historical part of town you can enjoy the bars, which in the morning serve 'pintxos' and in the evening turn into music pubs.
Paseo de la Marina
The most populous area of this beautiful town is full of restaurants, bars and pubs, which offer all sorts of gastronomic delights.
One cannot go to Hondarribia and not visit 'Uxoa', an establishment located on the Paseo Butron, which is a 'pintxo' bar in the afternoon, and a pub in the evenings. The evenings always end at 'Truck', located on the Paseo del Faro, opposite the sports centre.

Bilbao's nightlife comes in various stages and levels of intensity. For relaxed, bar-to-bar, tavern-to-tavern wining and dining on the run, the action begins in such places as the Casco Viejo and, in the Ensanche, along Calle Licenciado Poza, where serious poteo (tippling), txikiteo (still more tippling), and tapeo (tippling and tapa grazing) continues late into the night.
Other top bar-hopping zones include Paseo del Arenal, Calle Ledesma, and Calle Elcano. Los Jardines de Albia, with the Café Iruña in the forefront, is also a hub for a variety of cafés, bars, and taverns.

This long, thin bar gets very (too?) busy on Friday and Saturday nights. Other nights are much quieter, and it is a decent enough place to have a drink.
