Pleasant pintxo and racion bar in the casco. Look for the mark on the pillar showing how high the floods got to in 1983!

You may hear Burger King referred to as the American Cidreria.
If you go hear to eat then you are either:
1) Feeling intolerably homesick, or
2) The wrong person to be in Spain.
The Spanish don;t do fast food very well. It is not fast for a start. Get in the bars and eat Pintxos. The cafe of the Hotel Bella Artes has a pleasant terrace in Parque de Dona Casilda on which you can sit and watch the world goes by.
Stop press: In 2004, they seem not to have the tables outside. The cafe is pleasant and spacious inside, so is still recommended

At the Guggeheim you've got a real good, real busy and real expensive restaurant for which you have to make a reservation ages in advance, but....

This bar restaurant has little to either recommend it or condemn it. It offers a standard range of drinks and pintxos.

This pintxo bar, just by the Diputacion is located on a corner of two paved streets and in summer has tables outside. They do a nice range of pintxos.
In my opinion not as good as those in nearby La Viña but still good. Worth a visit. Better, go to both and compare.
