If you are in Casco Viejo having "tapas" or better: "Pintxos"... You should visit the Bar Motrikes and taste their delicious grilled mushrooms

This cafeteria is conveniently located next to the Teatro Ayala, but otherwise has little to recommend it over the plethora of other bars in the city.

Ban Thai is a pleasant, reasonably authentic, Thai restaurant (the only one I know of in Bilbao. They do take outs too.

This bar and restaurant has a good range of pintxos and offers menus del dia. I have not eaten in the comedor (restaurant) so cannot comment on that.
Favorite Dish: Pintxos Jamon in herb bread.
