It´s located next to the river and there is a big sculpture just in front of it.
Although they say that the river is very polluted from industry it still makes for a pleasent enough walk.
Take the furnicular to Artxanda
Artxanda is a park area on the hill above Bilbao. Get the furnicular railway up (less than one Euro) for great views of the city.

View from the Bridge
The bridge next to the Guggenheim Museum gives a spectacular view of the surrounding area. If you are very fit, climb the steps, otherwise you can take the lift for a small fee.
World's Biggest Indoor Market?
Take time to visit the huge indoor market - Mercado de La Ribera. It is claimed to be the largest in the world but whether that's true or not, it is indeed impressive.
Deustuko Zubia Bridge of Deusto
One of the most famous bridges of Bilbao.
It can be divided when a tall ship comes, but it´s not very comon. Maybe if you are lucky...

This is the main street in the centre of Bilbao, here you can find an high concentration of the biggest shops of the city. More "european" than the old town, it's good for a shopping walk.

Original underground entrances
While in Moyua square pay attention to the original glass entrances of the underground and also to the modern architecture around it. This is the centre of the modern Bilbao.

The Athletic of Bilbao football Club´s stadium is named "The Cathedral". In Bilbao the Athletic Club is more than a team, it is a religion.
Bilbao fiesta takes place in mid-August, transforming the city into a 10 day party for young and old.
